here's the finished latest obsession.
at this point the holes have not been drilled through the back for the cabling/cords.
i don't know if they ever will be.
because of that, the accessory contraption(s) will sit on top.

With that color finish, the piece looks very 50s moderne. just a thought: if you put one of the drawer fronts on a fold-down desk hinge, it could be opened up when you need for the signal to reach the unit...and then put back up afterwards to hide it.
maybe a piano hinge?
anyway, great job. makes me long to get back to some furniture refinishing. i've got projects sitting around from before i discovered the internet.
