silky junqueRme

i have a couple bins of silk fabric - fabric from shirts, skirts, jackets, etc. which i have accumulated from the tag sales and the thrift stores (yes along with the bins and bins of wool). i cut the clothes into strips (on the bias) and made myself a 100% silk shirret rag rug. it's certainly not the prettiest one i've made - but it's really soft.



recently i went to the local 'front page' store where they sell items that have been returned to stores. i picked up a 100% silk curtain panel for a 25c. it's not the first time i have found silk curtain panels on their clearance racks - but it's the first time i've found one for 25c.
yeh, it was a good day on the junquing front.
